Premium adds image scaling, lazy loading, AI-generated alt text, AVIF, server-level next-gen delivery (including inside WooCommerce and page builders), backups of originals, scheduling and media cleanup. Byteslim was previously called Smart Image Optimizer; upgrading migrates settings and history automatically.

Questions about Byteslim Image Optimizer
Is the free version a trial?
No. It is a complete optimizer with no time limit and no signup. Premium adds AVIF, backups, scheduling and builder delivery.
What if my server does not support WebP or AVIF?
Those conversions are skipped automatically and normal compression still runs. The Server Status screen shows which formats your host supports.
